Bring 'Em Home

Bring em home....

Lord, there's a war that is raging
Help us bring our soldiers home..
Lord theres a war that is raging
we need to bring our soldiers home.
If i had some kind of power
I'd just bring them soldiers home.....
well, this old war ain't a man's war
Lord, there's women soldiers too
No, this old world ain't just a mans war
Lord there's women soliders too...
mothers & brothers
fathers and sons
daughters and sisters
aunts and uncles every one....
Lord, there's a war that is raging
Help us bring us soldiers home
there's a war that's a ragin'
we need to bring our soliders home
If i had any kind of powers
I'd just bring the soldiers home...
Too many's died already,
Lord help us bring our Soldiers home
too manys died already
we need to bring them soldiers home....
I ask Lord that you guide us
so we can bring our soldiers home
Let's bring em home.....
they are our nieces and our nephews
our husbands- wives- and friends
our co-workers and neighbors
Lord it's time the violence ends
I ask that you will listen
as our prayers come one by one
Agreeing that this war must end
and that it all be done.....
too manys died already
Lord let's bring our soldiers home
too manys died already
Lord it's time to bring them home...
I ask Lord that you guide us
Help us bring our soldiers home..

If I could.....

If i could
i'd bring our soldiers home
If I could
I'd bring our soldiers home..
i would bring them safe and sound
home again on American ground
If i could
i'd bring our soldiers home.
If i could I'd bring our soldiers home.

If i could I'd make this world free
If i could I'd make this world free
no cold and hungry children
no pain or poverty...
if i could I'd make this world free
If i couldi'd bring or soldiers home
if i could
i'd bring our soldiers home
I'd bring them safe and sound
home again
on americn Ground
If i could
i'd bring our soldiers home..
If i could i'd bring My Soldier home.
If i could I'd bring our soldiers home.

if i could
I'd change 9-1-1
If i could

One Thin Dime...

The Balled of One Thin Dime...

Danny lives down in the valley
down where the sweet grass grows..
Danny lives down in the valley
where Jack Frost Nips at your toes..
Danny makes corn cobs pipes
down where the sweet grass grows
Danny sells his corn cob pipes..
where Jack Frost nips at your nose..
He sells his pipes for one thin dime
Danny sells them for one thin dime
danny sells his corn cob pipes
in the valley for one thin dime..
One day old Charlie from down by the river
Stopped by like he does all the time..
Old Charlie brought fish from the river
and bought himself a pipe for a dime..
they talked about peace . talked about war
and they cooked that fish just fine...
they talked about kids & the lives they lived
And Charlie said the pipe smoked fine.....
then Charlie said:
What can you buy for dime old Danny?
what can you buy for a dime.?.
living in this day and timet
ell me, what can you buy with a dime?
Danny said..
one thin dime brought you here Charlie
One thin dime bought your time.
I enjoyed a meal and it tasted fine
that's what i got for the dime...
that's what i got for a dime....
Now..If you get down his way take some time
if you get down his way spend some time
You can buy a hand made corn cob pipe
from Danny for one thin dime..
Danny lives down in the valley
down where the sweet grass grows
Danny lives down in the valley
where Jack frost nips at your toes...
Today I'm going down to the valley
I'm taking some Lobster and wine...
I'm buying me a corn cob pipe
and i hope Old Charlie's on time..
we'll talk about peace. talk about war
And we'll cook that Lobster just fine.
we'll talk about our kids & the lives we live
and we'll all have a mighty fine time...

Repeat Chorus:12-5-06

LOVE MY WOMAN JUNKIE

I'm a love my woman junkie, yes i am
with out the Lady life ain't worth a damn
when it come to loving her Lord this man
is a love my woman junkie yes i am

I met her in a night club
many years ago
never thought i'd be so lucky
as to have my feelings grow
we had that night together
then the next night once again
Now it's time to tell her Lord
i'm such a lucky man

She knows what to do
when I'm feeling blue
the lady understands this man
I'm a love my woman junkie yes i am
I'm a love my woman junkie yes i am.

I'm a love my woam junkie yes i am
without the lady life ain't worth a damn
when it comes to loving her
Lord this man
is a love my woman junkie yes i am
I'm a love my woman junkie yes i am.

She knows what to do
when i'm feeling blue
the lady understands this man
I'm a love my woman junkie yes i am

Back On My Feet (again)

Unemployment's running out
I'm so tired of interviews
I come home and roll up pennies
watch the news and get the blues
I won't let these hard times haunt me Sir
i'm not a quittin' man
This eccomany is lousy
but i'll do the best i can

I got God and family beside me
Lord knows how hard it's been
trust in me Baby
cause you know i'm gonna be Baby
back on my feet again

Now I ask you mister congressman
Mr senitor too
what would you do if you woke up
walking in my shoes
could you live without your mansion
or your mercadis bens
what whould you say if your pay
is what i'm bring in...
chorus;
Mr I don't need a condo
I don't need a caravan
all i need is to be right back
up on my feet again
i won't let these hard times haunt me sir
i'm not a quitting man
this ecconamy is lousy but
i'll do the best i can
cause i got God and family beside me
Lord knows how hard it's been
trust in me Baby cause your gonna see me baby
back on my feet again.

COLD BREEZE BLOWIN'

When you said that you loved me
I believed you babe i did
when you said that you loved me Baby
i trusted you I really did
Now you're telling me it's over
it's like your undernieth a spell
you're giving in to giving up
and it makes me want to whail...

I feel a cold breeze baby
i feel a cold breeze blowin' in
my heart is about to freeze you out
I feel a cold one coming on....

Someday your gonna wake up
to the way it used to be
and when you count up your blessings
one of them won't be me

I feel a cold breeze baby
feel a cold breeze blowing in
my heart is about to freeze you out
I feel a cold one coming on...

Feels like Alaska Baby.

JUST LIKE GARFIELD

I know you're liberated
but baby it's getting to me
I feel i've lived with you 9 or 10 lives
and i'm just now starting to see
sometimes you think it's okay
to push your best friend around
but Baby you're just like garfield
putting old Odie down.

I can't cuddle with a woman
who attacks me like a cat
always ready to pounce on me
at the drop of a hat..
Sometimes you think it's okay
to push your best friend around
Baby you're just like Garfield
putting old Odie down..

I'd like to come home and relax Dear
and drink me a beer maybe two
I just can't take your attcks dear
Baby your making me blue
Sometimes you think it's okay
to push your best friend around
baby you're just like Garfield
putting old Odie down...
Baby you're just like Garfield
putting Old Odie downn.....

Settin' Papers On Fire

Remember that old fire place
we sat in front of
talkin' girl and taken'
time out to make love?
well that fire place and me
we're still keepin' company
but lately my desire
is settin' papers on fire...

I've been burnin' up pictures
Old cards and papers too
don't need no reminders
to remind me of you
I used to want to see
you back home with me
but lately my desire's
settin' papers on fire.....

Remember that old bathtub
we bought at a sale?
Sure held a lot of water
oh the tales that it could tell
well I busted it to pieces
and I put a hot tub there
I've been gettin rid of memories
Girl they were everywhere...

I've been burnin' up pictures
old cards and papers too
don't need reminders
that remind me of you
I used to want to see
you back home with me
but lately my desire
is settin' papers on fire...
lately my desire's
settin papers on fire.

Ain't No Work Lord

Ain't No Work lord

the cost of living's rising every day
when there ain't no work a guy can't pay
when there's farmers not farming and
white colors blue in jail
you know the working man got cut all to hell.
you wouldn't want to live with these unemployed blues
Lord knows I gave my share to pay this country's dues
already sold my house now my car is up for sale
this working man just got his long time budget cut to hell

Texas ,Utah , Alabama
noth Dakota, south Dakota, Indiana
California , Florida Kentucky
Virginia , Michigan , Mississippi

there ant no work Lord
ain't no work in O-hi-o
been looking for employment since the record hit a low.

I don't like Asking'
somebody for a break
but the cost of living
is more than I can make
there Aint no work Lord
ain't no work in Tennessee
been out of work so long
them budget cuts are bulletin me.

Texas - Utah - Alabama
north Dakota - south Dakota- Indiana
California - Florida - Kentucky
Iowa,new York, Mississippi
oh there ain't no work Lord
ain't no work in Washington
and standing in employment lines
these days ain't no fun...

Texas Utah Alabama
noth Dakota -south Dakota- Indiana
California , Oklahoma, Kentucky
New York, Missouri, Mississippi
no there ain't no work Lord
ain't no work in Tennessee
been out of work so long
them budget cuts are bleedin me

One Step Waking Up

One Step Waking Up

Jessy thinks she's been a bad girl
too long to talk to Jesus
and she can't say that she won't stray again
But Jesus died for Jessy's sins
just like yours or mine
she believes and that's a real big step toward Him,

One step waking up
is two steps back to Him
patiently He's waiting
for hearts to let Him in..

Ed lost his job and family
and he wanted to die
but something deep inside of him
kept telling him to try
he knew what he had done
and the man that he'd once been
he said Jesus come into my heart
and Jesus walked right in

one step waking up
is two steps back to him
patiently He's waiting for
hearts to let Him in
One step waking up
is two steps back to him
patiently He's waiting for
heart's to let Him in......

My heart goes out to the people of hurricane Katrina, money and food isn't all they need. they need our prayers too. Prayers are just as important as anything we can give them. it doesn't matter what your faith is, God hears all prayers.
